Had a strong voice of wide diapason, sang both dramatical and lyrical roles, mastered hard fiorituras.

De Carassa with external temperament peculiar to Italians a little bit loudly and in some places tearfully, but on the big breath, conducted tale of ''Tannhauser'' in the third act of the opera, - The listener involuntarily gave in to this stream well the cultivated soundings and to charm of emotional singing
